1 of 1, the unique “McLaren Racing MSO 12C” Clubsport. Quite possibly one of the rarest road-going McLaren’s to date. This exceptional 12C had an extraordinary start to life at the very birth of McLaren Automotive, being one of the earliest 12C’s built at the MTC. Purchased internally as new and un-registered by the McLaren F1 Racing team and finished in team colours.

The car was transported by McLaren Racing around the world, supporting their F1 team at race weekends and display events. It was presented at international Concours de’ Elegance such as Pebble Beach, premiered at the launch of McLaren Automotive held at One Hyde Park and on a variety of promotional drives, always with Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button at the helm.

It was finally given its pride of place, displayed on the famous McLaren Technology Centre hall of fame boulevard. A few years ago, the current owner purchased the car from the McLaren F1 team, with agreement that the car was allowed a unique title of “McLaren Racing MSO 12C”, that would not be repeated, and supplied with a hardback image book created by McLaren.

Following the purchase, the car was immediately handed over to McLaren Special Operations (MSO) who started designing a homage to the MP4-25 Formula 1 car of the 2010 season. The car was upgraded with MSO carbon fibre exterior and interior parts, power upgrades and re-painted in Supernova Silver. It is very likely the last 12C to be registered as new in 2018. With only 1180 miles on the clock.
